Muscat International Airport, formerly known as Seeb International Airport, is Oman's largest airport and was opened in 1973. In 2018, the airport received a new, state-of-the-art terminal, increasing its capacity to over 20 million passengers per year. The airport is known for its architecture, which combines traditional Omani elements with modern design. Particularly striking is the roof, which evokes the sails of a traditional Omani dhow boat. The terminal also features a large duty-free area and Arab-style relaxation zones.

The magnificent Sultan Qaboos Grand Mosque is one of Oman's most impressive structures. With its white facade, the enormous hand-knotted Persian carpet in its prayer hall, and one of the world's largest chandeliers, it combines spiritual tranquility with architectural mastery.

In contrast, there is the vibrant Mutrah Souk, a traditional market with winding alleyways, oriental scents, and gleaming incense. Here, you can browse for souvenirs, jewellery, or spices in an authentic atmosphere.

A cultural gem is the Royal Opera House Muscat, an elegant concert hall with imposing architecture and an international programme.

The Muscat Corniche invites you for a stroll along its well-maintained waterfront promenade. The view stretches over the sparkling sea, past traditional dhows, the old town, and the fort.
