Benito Juárez International Airport is Mexico's largest and most important airport and one of the busiest in Latin America. It was opened in 1931 and named after Benito Juárez, one of Mexico's most significant presidents. The airport is located in the heart of Mexico City and, due to its altitude of over 2,200 metres, is known for its unique approach characteristics. Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by an automatic airport train, which transports travellers between the buildings in just a few minutes. Particularly interesting: due to the dense urban area, there have been plans for years for a new large airport outside the city.

Just about an hour from the city lie the fascinating ruins of Teotihuacán. The monumental Pyramid of the Sun, the „Avenue of the Dead,“ and the Pyramid of the Moon bear witness to the former grandeur of this pre-Columbian metropolis.

In the midst of urban hustle and bustle, the expansive Bosque de Chapultepec offers a green sanctuary. The park is among the largest of its kind worldwide and, in addition to lakes, gardens and museums, is home to the renowned National Museum of Anthropology, which showcases the diversity of Mexico's indigenous cultures with unique exhibits.
