Amsterdam Schiphol Airport is the largest airport in the Netherlands and one of the busiest airports in Europe. It was originally opened in 1916 as a military airbase. Schiphol is located below sea level – more precisely around 4 metres below it! Additionally, the airport has its own library, the first of its kind worldwide, where passengers can read Dutch books and art books for free. Another highlight: Schiphol has a real Rijksmuseum satellite museum in the terminal featuring works by Dutch Masters.

The Rijksmuseum is considered the best-known museum in the Netherlands, showcasing masterpieces by famous artists such as Rembrandt and Vermeer. The picturesque canals crisscross the entire city, offering an idyllic backdrop – ideal for leisurely strolls or romantic boat trips.

A place of particular significance is the Anne Frank House, which impressively commemorates the moving story of Anne Frank and is one of Amsterdam's most visited sights.
