It was opened in 1931 and named after Benito Ju\u00e1rez, one of Mexico's most significant presidents. The airport is located in the heart of Mexico City and, due to its altitude of over 2,200 metres, is known for its unique approach characteristics. Terminals 1 and 2 are connected by an automatic airport train, which transports travellers between the buildings in just a few minutes. The monumental Pyramid of the Sun, the \u201eAvenue of the Dead,\u201c and the Pyramid of the Moon bear witness to the former grandeur of this pre-Columbian metropolis.<\/p>\n\n\n\n<p class=\"wp-block-paragraph\">In the midst of urban hustle and bustle, the expansive Bosque de Chapultepec offers a green sanctuary.
