Here you can visit the historic Friday Mosque with its intricately carved coral stone walls and the Presidential Palace, or experience the lively fish market.\n\nThe Maldives are especially famous for their fascinating underwater world. The colourful coral reefs attract divers and snorkelers from all over the world. Manta rays, whale sharks and countless species of tropical fish are at home here, making every dive an unforgettable experience.\n\nAnother attraction is island hopping. You can travel from island to island by speedboat or seaplane and explore the different resorts and local islands.
